Join Silverman Law Firm on the Heart of Virginia 2017 Century Ride
The Silverman Law Firm is a proud sponsor of the Heart of Virginia 2017 Century charity bike ride on September 16, 2017. As a sponsor I have several free registrations that I will share on a first come, first serve basis. Contact me if you are interested. Did I mention free?
The purpose of the ride is to raise money for the Bikes for Kids program which provides hundreds of low income children with bikes and helmuts and to support the Brain Injury Association of Virginia.
The ride is a fun way to help these wonderful programs. My friend Gregg Hillmar is the organizer and it is sponsored by the Richmond Area Bicycling Association (RABA). You do not have to be an avid cyclist to do the ride. Yes there are the challenging 65 mile and 102 miles routes, but there are also shorter family options of 10 miles and 34 miles. I rode the 65 mile route last year and enjoyed every minute of it (especially crossing the finish line)! This year I hope to complete the 102 mile century route. The ride includes lunch, refreshment stations, and support vehicles in case either you or your bike just can't make it to the end.
Why are we doing this when there are countless other charities to support? I know the organizers and in an age when I have to wonder where my charity dollars go, I know our sponsorship money will go straight to the deserving beneficiaries. Secondly, it fits with the goals of the Silverman Law Firm. I have been representing cyclists and victims of traumatic brain injuries for almost 19 years. Lastly, I will be on the ride and I'd love to see some of my clients, friends, and colleagues out there with me for a great day of bike riding.
Please contact us if you would like one join me for the ride.

P.S. - If this sounds like a great cause, but bike riding is not your thing consider volunteering. For the ride to go forward they need volunteers for checkin, the refreshment stations, marking the route, etc.
